UPDATE: The Bureau of Labor Statistice release 2014 unemployment averages for Middlesex County on April 21, 2015.
The sections below outline two sets of Local Area Unemployment Statistics (LAUS) for Middlesex County Connecticut and the EB-5 program. The ACS 5-Year is from the American Community Survey and the more recent data provided by the project's city, Middlesex County, Connecticut to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. In the report below, if the "Qualifies" column indicates "Yes" , then Middlesex County qualifies by either the ACS or the BLS (or both). Please note that if the ACS data qualifies and the more recent BLS data indicates does not, there is an indication that employment conditions are improving and that a project in Middlesex County may not be granted a designation letter -- or depending on project type, target areas, and Connecticut requirements, an EB-5 project may considered by either ACS or BLS unemployment rate during the approval processes.
